Requisition Summary

The PACCAR Technical Center in Mount Vernon WA is looking for an intern in the Vehicle Integration Validation successful candidate will make technical contributions to the in-vehicle testing ofupcoming powertrain products and vehicle software while gaining hands-on experience in the hardware and software validation candidate will serve as a member of the Controls Validation team focused on engine transmissiondriver interfaces andconnectivity testing of functional requirements.

The Summer Internship Program provides the opportunity to contribute to PACCARs truck and technology development efforts while gaining valuable engineering skills and experience. The Program also organizes professional social events with interns working in various groups at the Technical Center and other engineering facilities.

Division Information

The PACCAR Technical Center provides engineering excellence to the truck engine and winch divisions of PACCAR Inc through innovative product development and testing. The Technical Center is located in the Skagit Valley about 65 miles north of Seattle Washington.

Job Functions / Responsibilities

  • Support Powertrain Controls Validation activities

  • Conduct associated testing in-vehicle

  • Use service and engineering tools to manipulate vehicle properties and collect data

  • Develop validation test plans

  • Analyze real world vehicle test data and report results

Qualifications

  • Junior or Senior in good standing towards an Engineering Science or equivalent degree.
  • Excellent communication skills required
  • Excellent Microsoft Office skills required
  • Problem solving skills
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment

PACCAR Benefits

Undergraduate Students: $25.00/hour

Graduate Students: $30.00/hour
