Job Summary
- Maintain enhance and optimize existing COBOL applications running on mainframe environments.
- Develop and extend Java-based applications including integration layers and backend services.
- Participate in the migration or modernization of legacy COBOL systems using Java and related technologies.
- Ensure the quality and reliability of applications through code reviews testing and documentation.
- Support production systems troubleshoot issues and implement fixes in a timely manner.
Qualifications :
- Experience in COBOL development (mainframe environment preferred).
- Solid knowledge of Java (Java 8 or higher) including object-oriented programming and backend development.
- Familiarity with relational databases (e.g. DB2 Oracle SQL).
- Ability to understand and maintain complex existing codebases.
- Strong problem-solving skills and structured working style.
- Good communication skills in German (Minimum B2) and English.
