We have a great opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer based in the Philippines as part of a workshare team remotely assisting our UAE office.
Duties and responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform design projects including analysis evaluation design reports calculations and drawings for projects that will be assigned in accordance with standards and GHD procedures.
- Apply technical engineering techniques and methods using international design standards such as BSEN ASHRAE NFPA and HVAC design Codes in support not only of Middle East projects but also of Philippines and International projects within GHD.
- Ensuring the implementation and maintenance of effective HVAC design in compliance with appropriate regulations and standards this involves conducting fire risk assessments designing fire protection systems and collaborating within GHD team to enhance fire safety in buildings and facilities.
- Present engineering solutions for discussion during concept and schematic design stages and prepare concept scheme design and detailed design reports.
- Prepare design drawings mark-ups calculations material quantity take-off (when required) reports technical specifications and other design-related documents relevant to the design task.
What you will bring to the team:
- Minimum of 3 years design experience experience in Middle East projects is preferable.
- Extensive experience in engineering and design of HVAC systems
- Proven track record in building services design with different types of sectors including high rise commercial residential retail Healthcare Industrial refurbishment etc;
- Knowledge of heat load calculation design software such as HAP IES etc
- Software capability in BIM360 and Revit.
- Detailed knowledge of international design standards BSEN ASHRAE NFPA etc
This job offer can be based either in Makati Quezon City or in our office in Cebu depending on your home base/location.
Candidates must be a Filipino citizen or have the right to work in the Philippines.
