Job Summary

Hourly Pay Range:

$17.00 - $25.50 - The hourly pay rate offered is determined by a candidates expertise and years of experience among other factors.

Position Highlights:

Position: Pool Attendant
Location: Chicago IL
Part time 22 weekly hours
Hours: Tuesdays 1pm-8:30pm Thursdays 2:30-8:30pm Saturdays 8am-4:30pm
Required Travel: None

A brief summary:

Attend to the pool areas to maintain a safe and welcoming environment while assisting and engaging with members and guests.

What you will do:

Maintain constant awareness of the pool and deck area at all times. Engage proactively with members and guests to ensure proper use of the pool and equipment.
Enforce pool rules in a professional and respectful manner. Respond to unsafe behavior or emergencies as needed.
Set up and take down equipment for pool programs and classes ensuring swim lessons water aerobics and other activities are properly equipped and supported.
Monitor pool conditions by taking chemical and temperature readings and reporting maintenance concerns to the appropriate staff.
Ensure the pool area remains clean organized and free of safety hazards.

What you will need:

High school diploma or equivalent
Heart saver CPR/AED certification from AHA or higher certification.
Previous experience as a lifeguard or in a similar field is preferred.
Must be able to swim and tread water.
Must have strong interpersonal skills with the ability to give clear direction offer assistance and interact in a friendly helpful manner with individuals of all ages and diverse backgrounds.
Must be comfortable performing physical duties such as moving lane lines and working in a warm humid aquatic environment.
