As an Assembly & Test Automation Intern you will work with the team to problem solve and troubleshoot complex problems related to automation in the Product Delivery Center (PDC). You will work hand in hand with our automation integrators and the onsite automation support team to progress initiatives.

What You Will Do

Work with PLCs and Robots to troubleshoot issues on the assembly floor.
Make suggestions on Ignition! and HMI screens to improve operator
Identify root cause of issues and create actions to correct the issues.
Work with automation integrators to develop and deploy automation initiatives on the shop floor.
Report on down time and corrective actions being taken to management

What You Will Learn

Real world challenges while deploying automation to a shop floor.
Root Cause and Corrective Action (RCCA) tools
Connections between servos robots and other automated systems to PLCs and the network infrastructure.

Qualifications You Must Have

Enrolled in a degree program in Engineering

Qualifications We Prefer

Knowledge of PLCs and ladder logic specifically Allen Bradley Studio 5000 and Siemens STEP7
Knowledge of Robotics specifically FANUC.
Knowledge of the Ignition platform
Project management skills to be able to drive projects to closure
Public speaking to be able to convey issues to management
Minimum GPA of 3.0

Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees as they are essential to the development of our products.

The salary range for this role is 37000 USD - 82000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer including but not limited to the role function and associated responsibilities a candidates work experience location education/training and key skills.
