COMMUNICATIONS STRATEGIST MIT Press to lead writing messaging and digital communications that advance the Presss fundraising and overall communications priorities. Working closely with the Press Director the role produces donor-facing narratives grant proposals campaign messaging impact stories partnership communications and stewardship materials. The Communications Strategist also supports digital and social media coordinates cross-Press initiatives and manages routine communications tasks.

Job Requirements

REQUIRED: Bachelors degree; a minimum of three years of communications experience; exceptional writing editing and storytelling skills; organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities; ability to deal with confidential information and/or issues using discretion and judgment; familiarity with social media and digital communications tools; comfort working in a fast-paced mission-driven environment; familiarity with social media platforms basic analytics and content production; and collaborative mindset and eagerness to learn Press-wide systems and operations. PREFERRED: Publishing and/or higher education experience; grant-writing experience; and advanced degree in relevant field.
