Mortgage Loan Originator

The Mortgage Loan Originator proactively markets and originates residential mortgage loan products to meet individual and branch productivity and quality goals while representing Fairway Independent Mortgage Corporation. This role focuses on delivering a high level of customer service maintaining strong referral relationships and ensuring efficient loan execution from application through closing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Originate residential mortgage loans from initial application through closing
• Present offer and negotiate loan terms in accordance with Fairway policies and applicable regulations
• Analyze borrower financial information to identify appropriate mortgage products aligned with borrower goals
• Collaborate with in-house processors underwriters and closing teams to ensure timely and accurate loan execution
• Develop and implement a marketing and business development plan to meet or exceed production and quality goals
• Maintain and expand referral relationships with real estate agents builders and other professional partners
• Respond promptly to borrower and business partner inquiries regarding loan products and processes
• Maintain working knowledge of Fairway products policies and lending guidelines
• Comply with all federal state and company regulations including the SAFE Act
• Participate in community and professional events as part of ongoing business development efforts

Qualifications and Requirements

• Active mortgage loan originator license in accordance with the SAFE Act
• Licensed through the NMLS in all states where loans are originated
• Minimum of 2 years of recent retail mortgage loan origination experience preferred
• Demonstrated loan production over the past two consecutive years
• Established referral relationships with Realtors builders attorneys or financial professionals preferred
• Strong communication organizational and relationship-building skills

Work Environment and Expectations

This position is relationship-based and requires a high level of professionalism accountability and responsiveness. Loan Originators are expected to manage their pipeline independently while collaborating with internal teams to deliver consistent high-quality service.
