The Information Technology organization is the technological foundation of our business and works in collaboration with our partners from across the company. The team drives technology and digital transformation partners with business leaders to design and execute new strategies through IT and operations services and ensures the necessary IT risk management and security measures are in place and aligned with enterprise architecture standards and principles.

About The Role

The Senior Digital Workplace Engineer Virtual Desktop Delivery willbe responsible forthe virtual desktop environment including 1) ongoing operations of the existing environment and 2) the strategic design implementation and optimization of our target state multi-cloud environment. This role is crucial for ensuring a secure scalable and high-performance virtual desktop and application experience for our global workforceleveraginga hybrid solution that includes Citrix DaaS/Virtual Apps and Desktops Microsoft Windows 365 and AmazonWorkSpaces.

Responsibilities

Architecture & Design Responsibilities

• Lead thedesign and architectureof our next-generation VDI/DaaS platform integratingCitrix DaaS (or Virtual Apps and Desktops) Windows 365 and AmazonWorkSpacesinto a cohesive and performant hybrid solution.

• Developtechnical roadmapsfor the EUC environment including migration strategies lifecycle management and adoption ofnew technologies(e.g. containerization secure browser isolation).

• Ensure the VDI/DaaS architecture adheres tosecurity best practices(Zero Trust least privilege data encryption) and organizational compliance standards.

• Conductcapacity planning demand forecasting and performancemodelingto ensure the environment is correctly scaledoptimizedfor cost andhighly available.

• Design and implement robustDisaster Recovery (DR) and Business Continuity (BC)plans for all virtual desktop infrastructure.

Engineering & Operations Responsibilities

• Implement configure andmaintaincore components of Citrix (Cloud Connectors StoreFront WEM Director NetScaler/Gateway) Windows 365 (Cloud PCs Intune integration provisioning policies) and AmazonWorkSpaces.

• Developautomation and orchestrationscripts (e.g. PowerShell Terraform Python) for provisioning monitoring image management and system tuning.

• Manage andoptimizedesktop images (Golden Images)and application layering technologies ( Citrix App Layering) to ensure a fast consistent and resilient user experience.

• Serve as aTier 3 escalation pointfor complex technical issues related to VDI/DaaS including logon latency network performance (HDX PCoIP) security and application delivery problems.

• Collaborate with Network Cloud Infrastructure (Azure/AWS) and Security teams to integrate VDI/DaaS solutions seamlessly.

Skills and Qualifications

Technical Expertise

• 10 yearsof experience in IT with at least5 yearsspecializing in the design and engineering of large-scale Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI)/Desktop as aService (DaaS) environments.

• Deep Subject Matter Expertise (SME)inCitrix DaaS/Virtual Apps and Desktopsincluding WEM PVS/MCS and NetScaler/Gateway.

• Proven hands-on experience designing and managingMicrosoft Windows 365(Cloud PCs) and integration withMicrosoft Intune Azure AD and Azure Virtual Desktop (AVD).

• Strong experience withAmazonWorkSpacesdeployment management and optimization within the AWS ecosystem.

• ExpertiseinWindows ServerandWindows 10/11operating systems GPOs Active Directory/Azure AD and identity management.

• Proficiencyinscripting and automation(PowerShell is essential).

• Solid understanding of networking concepts related to VDI (latency bandwidth load balancing firewalls and protocols like RDP HDX PCoIP).

Education & Certifications (Preferred)

• Bachelors Degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.

• Relevant professional certifications are highly desirable:

• Citrix Certified Expert - Virtualization (CCE-V) or Citrix Certified Professional - Virtualization (CCP-V)

• Microsoft Certified: Azure Virtual Desktop Specialty or Windows 365 Specialty

• AWS Certified Solutions Architect Associate or AWS CertifiedSysOpsAdministrator

BehavioralCompetencies

• Strong ability tomentor and trainjunior engineers and document complex architectures for operational handover.

• Excellentwritten and verbal communication skillswith the ability to1) partner with a diverse stakeholder base tounderstand needs and develop technology requirements that deliver on them and 2)articulate complex technical concepts to both technical teams and executive leadership.

• Demonstrated ability totroubleshoot complex multi-vendorissues under pressure.

Compensation

The actual compensation offered will ultimately be dependent on multiple factors which may include the candidates geographic location skills experience and other qualifications.

In addition the position is eligible for a discretionary bonus in accordance with the terms of the applicable incentive plan.

This position is based in Corebridge Financials Houston TX office and is subject to our hybrid working policy which gives colleagues the benefits of working both in an office and remotely.
