The Garage Porter provides the cleaning and upkeep of an assigned area.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

Clean and maintain buildings/facilities/ parking garages
Follows procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment in order to prevent damage to floors and fixtures
Notify Manager concerning the need for minor or major repairs or additions to garage operating systems
Establish and maintain effective communication and working relationships with clients co-workers shift coordinators supervisors managers etc.
Comply with all safety security compliance and quality standards and procedures established by the Company Clients and regulatory authorities
Clean and dust furniture fixtures floors ceilings walls machines light fixtures and equipment
Move boxes furniture crates and equipment either manually or by using golf cart
Clean interior partition glass windows glass partitions and mirrors using soapy water or other cleaners sponges and squeegees
Change light bulbs
Gather and empty trash
Sweep walks rake leaves cut grass remove snow or perform other incidental seasonal tasks
Wipe and clean elevator cabs
Service clean and supply restrooms
Pick up trash
Work weekend as needed
Pressure washing
Painting curbs lines and any other items that are needed.
Clean cobwebs off light fixtures
Dust and clean stairwells
Count occupied garage spaces daily.
Service garage gate equipment for minor repairs.

Qualifications

Basic Qualifications:

Must be 21 years of age or older.
Must have a valid driver license.
Must have painting experience.
No high school diploma GED or college degree required

Preferred Qualifications:

Customer service experience
1 year of similar work experience
