Job Role:
We are seeking a senior strategic and commercial leader to join our team as the Head of Diagnostics Services. This is a pivotal role with full accountability for the performance governance and growth of Medica Irelands non-ultrasound managed diagnostic services including X-Ray MRI DXA and CT and direct-to-consumer offerings.
As the Head of Diagnostics Services you will combine divisional commercial ownership with clinical governance and team leadership. You will move beyond traditional operations to drive revenue growth cost control and business development embedding accountability directly at the service-line level.

As Head of Diagnostics Services you will be responsible for:
Strategic & Commercial Leadership: Owning the diagnostics divisional strategy and holding full commercial accountability for revenue gross margin and EBITDA.
Clinical Governance: Providing senior leadership oversight of clinical governance risk management audit and compliance ensuring alignment with HIQA and radiation safety standards.
Team Leadership: Leading Clinical Leads and Unit Managers overseeing workforce planning recruitment and capability development.
Collaboration: Working closely with the Heads of Teleradiology Ultrasound and Obstetric Services to ensure alignment in diagnostics pathways reporting capacities coherent diagnostic pathways and shared infrastructure.
Requirements
Essential:
Registered radiographer or equivalent senior healthcare professional or demonstrable senior leadership experience in diagnostic services.
Significant experience in diagnostic imaging operations within Ireland.
Proven experience of commercial ownership business planning or service development.
Strong understanding of Irish healthcare contracting (HSE and private providers).
Solid analytical skills with the ability to conduct financial analysis and strategic planning.
A strong networker with an inquisitive nature and a passion for hitting targets.
Flexibility to travel Ireland-wide and occasionally to the UK.
Desirable:
Postgraduate qualification in healthcare management business or leadership.
Experience contributing to or leading diagnostic tenders.
Experience working in multi-site or mobile diagnostic environments.
