We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse Director to join our team and oversee our postpartum department in Austin TX. Role Overview: As the Registered Nurse Director for our postpartum department you will be responsible for managing and overseeing all aspects of the unit including staffing budgeting and patient care. You will work closely with the nursing staff to ensure high-quality care is provided to all patients while also maintaining a positive and collaborative work environment. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee the day-to-day operations of the postpartum department including staffing scheduling and budgeting. - Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care. - Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans. - Monitor and evaluate the performance of nursing staff and provide coaching and feedback as needed. - Conduct regular staff meetings and trainings to keep the team up-to-date on best practices and new developments in the field. - Ensure compliance with all regulatory and accreditation standards. - Participate in the recruitment hiring and onboarding of new nursing staff. - Maintain a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes teamwork and open communication. Qualifications: - Current valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of Texas. - Bachelors degree in Nursing (BSN) required; Masters degree in Nursing (MSN) preferred. - Minimum of 5 years of experience in postpartum nursing with at least 2 years in a leadership or management role. - Proven track record of managing and developing a successful nursing team. - Strong knowledge of postpartum care and best practices. - Excellent communication interpersonal and leadership skills. - Ability to multitask and prioritize in a fast-paced environment. - Proficient in using electronic medical record (EMR) systems. Working Conditions: This is a full-time permanent position based in Austin TX. The Registered Nurse Director will work primarily during regular business hours but may be required to work evenings weekends and holidays as needed.
