Our Team delivers Order Entry Inside Sales/Administration activities acting as one of the main pre- and after-sales customer contact points. Responsible for fast and effective exchange of commercial information between Field Sales Distributors Supply Chain/Logistics and other departments that exceeds expectations.

You will execute daily import export operations in China. Responsible for troubleshooting and root cause analysis for any issues impacting the efficient movement of goods across international borders. Providing support to the functional leaders in the Product companies in China.

As a Lead Customs Specialist - Customs Operations you will be responsible for:

Resolving daily inquiries regarding export shipments and inbound import green-light approval. Helping to prepare export & import documentation.

Working with manufacturing/services locations to develop/train/deploy the origin logistics model ensuring export/import requirements accurately documented before equipment ships from sellers dock.

Working with teams to assign country-of-origin designations for items. Ensuring BH is compliant and have preferential trade agreements when applicable.

Supporting the region with establishing standard requirements for shipment documentation(import/export). Ensuring the accuracy and integrity of data with customs brokers.

Working with global product-classification team for the request & receipt Harmonized Tariff Schedule codes/Schedule B codes/ECCN or other codes & schedules.

Ensuring adequate document retention to support compliance with government agencies/international trade regulations. Resolving transactional issues relating to the clearance of shipped-goods.

Monitoring and tracking critical shipments and resolve problems. File export declarations on behalf of BH in the required systems.

Facilitating the acquisition of export and import licenses in close coordination with BH ITC regional and product company leaders.

Fuel your passion

To be successful in this role you will:

Have a Bachelor or equivalent in international trade international business logistics or other related fields. Have proven experience in customs operations.

Have 5 years experience working with logistics & trade compliance 3 experience using PC-based trade compliance systems and trade content services.

Have knowledge & experience of customs and shipping for importation and exportation of goods in particular in differing markets

Have membership in professional organizations trade or user groups. Accredited zone specialist/customs brokers license is an advantage.

Be a good communicator and fluent in English. Experience working in a team-based global environment.
