DescriptionThe Role:
The Strategic Account Manager is accountable for setting commercial strategy and driving growth in sales and profitability for both Products and Services with a selected list of strategic Accounts in Italy and and belonging to the so called Hyperscale & Colocation industry segment. You will represent the Company in front of the Account at CEO/CIO/CFO level and define short- and long-term targets in close coordination with the respective EMEA Strategic Account Managers/Directors.
Reporting to the EMEA Senior Sales Director and teaming up with other peers across EMEA you will be responsible to drive management standards to reflect the Vertiv behaviors and grant the posture our Company has set to be a leading Vendor within the Datacenter Industry
As an individual you have strong segment industry experience coupled with a well-established particular your role will be pivotal to drive strategic initiatives across the entire Italian Ecoystem including the Consultants the Contractors Data Center Association and the Industry events where Vertiv is sponsoring.
You demonstrate exceptional account management skills commercial acumen and the capability to build networks internally within the Vertiv community. Delivery of your targets will require leadership and effective coordination between the different business segments to fulfil the requirements of your customers so excellent communications skills are vital. Furthermore you have the technical competence to understand and demonstrate the full breadth of the Vertiv offering and our capabilities as an organisation to your customers particularly at senior management level. Your targets will be set to align with the growth expectations of the market and our strategic position with the respective accounts.

As a Strategic Account Manager You Shall:
- Drive and continue to develop our customer centric culture. You represent Vertiv in front of the assigned Accounts at CEO/CIO/CFO level as well as the entire Italian Datacenter Ecosystem
- Develop Vertiv Sales Strategyand secure alignment to our corporate strategy. You constantly adapt our Sales Strategy as needed and gain ongoing input and buy-in from key customers partners and internal stakeholders.
- Drive growth in sales and profitability for both Products and Services with the assigned Accounts towards defined short- and long-term targets securing Vertiv as the Accounts preferred partner for the entire Product and Service portfolio of Vertiv.
- Drive management standardsensuring business review cycles are embedded coordinate the activity of the team and collaborating across objectives and key results are clearly aligned with the Goals of your manager
- Be an advocate of OneCode to continue to drive value selling on daily basis therefore adding value to customer engagements and opportunity development whilst ensuring effective use of the tools and methodology to grow accounts and individual / team success.
- Anticipate market trends being an industry expert.Design and deliver innovative solutions rethinking current standards and routines to achieve competitive advantages in the market. Successfully initiate and sustain the necessary changes managing internal stakeholders and securing support.
- Act as a role model.You are a go-to person for your peers younger generation and most importantly for your Accounts.
- Offer Though Leadershipcommunicating with impact externally and internally both up down and across with peers in the organization.
- Ensure that any activity task and responsibility required is managed and performed in full compliance with the Company Code of Conduct and Trade Compliance.
