As an Medical Office Assistant for JHCP - Odenton Family Practice and Internal Medicine youll:
- Be the first person to greet our patients over the phone!
- Youll providefriendly courteous assistance to every patient to ensure that they have a positive professional experience while at JHCP.
- Receive incoming and make outbound phone calls in order to schedule appointments process referrals and refills and take messages.
- Perform patient check-in and out; Collect full demographics verify insurance collect co-pays etc.
What Youll Need to be Successful:
- High School Diploma or GED required.
- 1 year of customer service or healthcare experience preferred.
- Ability to successfully pass all required training to obtain security access to perform role. Includes but not limited to: Electronic medical record training Insurance training-foundations government and commercial.
Salary Range: Minimum 17.11/hour - Maximum 28.26/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility. In cases where the range is displayed as a $0 amount salary discussions will occur during candidate screening calls before any subsequent compensation discussion is held between the candidate and any hiring authority.
