Womens Healthy Aging Innovation Center Buck Institute for Research on AgingDESCRIPTIONThe Buck Institute for Research on Aging invites applications for a faculty position at the
Assistant Associate or Full Professor level in the
Womens Healthy Aging Innovation Center. This position seeks an outstanding scientist whose research program focuses on the biology underlying healthy aging in women. Areas of interest include but are not limited to ovarian aging germline formation and maintenance reproductive endocrinology reproductive transitions menopause interactions between reproductive aging and systemic age-related diseases and sex differences in aging. All model systems are welcome including human animal and in vitro models.
The successful candidate is expected to establish and lead a productive collaborative and innovative research group that advances understanding of reproductive aging integrates with the Buck Institutes mission and contributes to improving womens health span. Moreover we seek candidates who are interested in contributing to the leadership vision and growth of the Womens Healthy Aging Innovation Center and its associated Reproductive Biology Hub through collaborative strategic initiatives and enhanced awareness and engagement.
QUALIFICATIONS- Ph.D. M.D. or equivalent degree and a minimum of threeyears of postdoctoral experience with a strong record of research accomplishments in reproductive biology aging biology or related fields
- Demonstrated potential to establish and lead a cutting-edge independent research program focused on reproductive aging and womens health
- Proven leadership and mentorship experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with broad audiences
- Ability to foster collaborative research within the Institute and across the reproductive science womens health and aging research communities
- Prior experience in senescence-related research and multiomics approaches strongly preferred
COMPENSATION & BENEFITSThis is a full-time exempt faculty position. Salary will be commensurate with rank qualifications experience and funding profile. Anticipated annual salary ranges are:
- Assistant Professor: $130000 - $190000
- Associate Professor: $160000 - $260000
- Professor: $210000 - $400000
