The Governor Services Team are looking to recruit a full-time term-time Governing Bodies Support Officer to work with governors of schools/academies to support them to carry out their core and statutory functions.
We are looking for a conscientious individual to join our professional team who is committed to providing a quality service to our Governing Bodies to support improving outcomes for children and young people in North Lincolnshire. They should be able to work well within a team and be able to use their own initiative when working independently. They should have good verbal and written communication skills and be competent in using a range of IT applications.
We are looking for someone with good organisation and time management skills who can work well to deadlines.
Main responsibilities will include:
to provide Professional Clerking which includes attending meetings in schools/online providing high-quality minutes and administration
to provide comprehensive guidance on legislation/statutory duties to support effective governance both during meetings and office hours
liaising with governors and education staff on procedural matters including drawing up key documentation and undertaking consultations
ensuring confidentiality and adherence to GDPR Experience of school governance would be desirable but not essential.
