About this opportunity:

Reporting to the Manager Operations Process Engineer the Senior Operations Process Engineer will support all Lloyd Thermal facilities at a district level. This role is responsible for driving plant production optimization while maintaining the highest safety standards. It will involve scoping and executing projects aimed at enhancing safety improving production efficiency and reducing operating expenses (OpEx). Additionally the position will address complex operational challenges through well-defined project scopes and ensure production budgets are met or exceeded.

This role can be located out of Calgary or Lloydminster.

What youll do:

  • Provide process engineering support at a district level to Operations and our Site Operations Engineers at the Lloyd Thermal sites.

  • Optimize the SAGD facilities for maximum production within Safe Operating Limits (SOLs) by identifying bottlenecks solving plant issues and minimizing OpEx costs.

  • Complete process simulations and/or engineering calculations to understand impact of potential process changes.

  • Provide guidance for complex technical operational issues and scope out projects to solve these issues to keep our production on budget.

  • Complete or support work intake for process engineering investigations and management of change requests.

  • Lead the project development phase for highly technical complex work when opportunities require technical SME leadership.

  • Complete process release calculations to support process safety event incident investigations.

Who you are:

Our ideal candidate will have the following minimum requirements:

  • Legally authorized to work in Canada.

  • Minimum 8 years relevant experience in Oil & Gas industry.

  • Post-secondary degree in Engineering and registered with APEGA or APEGS.

  • Experience in Operations Process Engineering for SAGD or Thermal Units.

  • Site experience and experience working directly with Operations considered an asset.

For this position you will be required to maintain a Class 5 drivers license a satisfactory driving record and adhere to the appropriate Company policies and guidelines. A drivers abstract will be one of the background checks requested in the pre-employment screening for the final candidate.
