Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Business Technology (NBT)is seeking qualified applicants for the position ofData Engineer. This position will be responsible for designing and maintaining robust data models that support business intelligence and analytics initiatives while also contributing to data engineering tasks that ensure data quality accessibility and performance. This role will work closely with various teams to ensure business data needs are met.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Design and develop data pipelines that facilitate the collection storage and processing of data from D365 and various other sources.
Ensure data quality and integrity through robust validation and cleaning processes.
Develop notebooks tables and views to transform raw data to data models for Power BI and other tools.
Create Power BI models to assess the potential impact of various operational analysis investment decisions and business initiatives.
Develop dashboards reports and presentations for stakeholders and provide insights on business performance.
Ah hoc requests to support business initiatives.
Expected to proactively gather requirements from the business and work independently.
Develop technical documents detailing the data ETL process models and reports.

Minimum Qualifications:

4 Years Experience in Data EngineeringData Modeling
Strong knowledge of SQL or Python
Experience with ETL (Extract Transform Load) processes and tools to manage data flow and transformation such as Data Factory Databricks Synapse Analytics/Fabric.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to address data-related challenges effectively.

Preferred Qualifications:

D365 entity and table knowledge preferred
Experience in the manufacturing or industrial sectors
Bachelors Degree or relevant work experience
