About this role:

The Senior Counsel General Legal provides general legal advice for Carriers Residential HVAC business reporting to the Director Legal North America Residential Solutions in the Climate Solutions Americas business segment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide legal counsel and service on broad range of areas to Carriers North America Residential Solutions business clients concerning legal rights obligations and privileges of corporations to ensure that corporate interests are well-represented.
• Negotiate contracts with suppliers customers and strategic partners related to Carrier-offerings and ensure compliance with Carriers overall strategy and policies.
• Support strategic forward-looking projects related to technology regulatory and go-to-market.
• Manage claims processes prelitigation matters and dispute resolution.
• Coordinate with internal Centers of Excellence to provide full-scale legal support for business.
• Advise business on compliance risks and assist in closing compliance gaps by providing practical training and implementing corporate policies and procedures.

Required Qualifications:

• Juris Doctorate from accredited US law school
• Bar Admission in any US state
• 6 years of law firm experience or in-house corporate/commercial experience

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in contracts commercial litigation technology or corporate law
• Experience advising in manufacturing/technology including factory and supply chain
• Excellent written and communication skills
• Consultative strategic and solution-focused business partner with a growth mindset
• Ability to resolve conflict in a business-oriented approach with ability to prioritize and manage competing demands

Pay Range

The annual salary for this position is $146750$ which may affect pay within this range include but are not limited to skills education experience and other unique qualifications of the successful candidate.
