Project Overview

The Senior Manager Quality Engineering will lead enterprise-wide testing strategies across business and technical systems. This role focuses on driving quality standards advancing test automation and ensuring consistent delivery of scalable high-quality software solutions.

The position requires close collaboration with business and IT stakeholders along with leadership of high-performing QA teams to support large-scale application delivery within defined timelines and budgets.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

Build mentor and manage QA engineering teams and leaders
Promote a culture of quality innovation and continuous improvement
Develop performance management and career growth plans
Establish sourcing strategies aligned with capacity skills and cost needs
Scale test automation frameworks tools and infrastructure

Quality Delivery & Execution

Define and implement enterprise testing strategies and quality standards
Provide technical leadership for modern solutions including AI-driven systems
Drive delivery across complex fast-paced environments with multiple priorities
Ensure projects meet scope schedule budget and quality objectives
Align delivery outcomes with business expectations
Manage dependencies across internal and external teams
Communicate progress to senior IT and business leadership

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Alignment

Build strong relationships with senior business leaders and cross-functional teams
Act as a strategic partner aligned with business goals
Support full lifecycle delivery including:
- Requirements definition
- Scope management
- Change management and training
- Deployment

Technical Leadership & Collaboration

Collaborate with development and QA teams to define workflows and tools
Drive adoption of test automation and AI-first quality engineering practices
Address complex technical challenges and guide decision-making
Identify risks and implement effective solutions
Provide hands-on leadership in resolving critical technical issues

Governance Process & Operations

Plan and allocate resources across multiple projects and programs
Manage budgets forecasting and cost controls
Ensure adherence to SDLC QA and project management standards
Provide reporting on project status performance metrics and resource planning
Develop work plans status reports and issue summaries
Present roadmaps technical direction and progress updates to leadership

Required Qualifications

Bachelors degree in Computer Science Engineering or a related field
5 years of management experience in Software Quality Engineering or similar leadership roles
3 years of experience leading test automation initiatives (e.g. Selenium Rest Assured SQL) and/or performance testing
Proven experience delivering medium to large-scale applications or projects
Strong project management skills including planning prioritization and organization
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
