Job Title: Audio Visual Support Specialist
Location: Ocoee FL
Duration: 4 months (with possible extension)
Interview: In-person (virtual possible at hiring managers discretion)
Position Summary
A public-sector organization is seeking an Audio Visual Support Specialist to provide enterprise-level support for audiovisual hardware and software systems. This role will deliver in-person and remote technical support assist with installations and conferencing setups and ensure high-quality collaboration experiences across multiple locations.
The ideal candidate will provide top-tier customer service maintain detailed documentation support IT initiatives and adapt to a fast-paced customer-facing environment.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate and assist with audiovisual installations system setups and video conferencing support
Support virtual meeting platforms such as Microsoft Teams Zoom GoTo and similar applications
Provide support for Microsoft Teams Roomscertified audiovisual equipment
Monitor and maintain collaboration systems using administrative tools and vendor monitoring portals
Identify diagnose and resolve hardware software and network-related issues; recommend repair or replacement strategies as needed
Recommend strategies to improve utilization of collaboration spaces through new practices devices or software
Train end users and technical staff on equipment operation and best practices
Provide support for Office 365 applications including Outlook Excel Word Teams and Windows 10/11
Collaborate with other IT teams on projects and departmental initiatives
Provide onsite support during standard business hours (7:00 a.m. 6:00 p.m. MondayFriday)
Provide after-hours support for events and travel as required
Travel up to 50% to remote locations to provide support and coordinate events
Perform additional duties as assigned
Safely lift and handle equipment up to 50 pounds
Required Skills & Qualifications
Enterprise IT support experience preferred
High school diploma or equivalent; additional certifications or technical education a plus
Ability to quickly learn new systems and software in a fast-paced environment
Strong problem-solving analytical and critical-thinking skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently or as part of a team
Strong organizational and time-management skills with ability to perform under pressure
Experience with AV system commissioning preferably with an AV integrator or enterprise deployment team
Proficiency with control systems such as Crestron and Q-SYS including DSP configuration software
Working knowledge of AV signal flow AV over IP structured cabling standards and rack build best practices
Mobile Device Requirement
As part of the technology team candidates must be reachable to respond to requests and incidents. Candidates must own a smartphone capable of receiving ongoing security updates and supporting mobile applications such as Outlook Teams and ServiceNow throughout the assignment.
Education
Experience Level
01 year of related high-tech industry or IT experience
Entry-level / learner role providing support for products of low to medium complexity
Works under general direction from senior technical staff while following documented procedures and checklists
