Job Description

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Cloud Service Backend Engineer to join our dynamic this role you will be responsible for designing developing and maintaining scalable and reliable backend services that power our cloud-based applications. You will work closely with frontend engineers DevOps and product managers to deliver high-quality efficient and secure solutions.

Responsibilities:

• Design and Development:

  • Develop and maintain robust scalable and efficient backend services using JavaScript TypeScript NX

  • Implement RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

  • Write clean maintainable and well-documented code.

  • Participate in code reviews and ensure adherence to coding standards.

• Cloud Infrastructure:

  • Utilize Azure cloud platform to deploy manage and scale backend services.

  • Implement and manage cloud-based databases e.g. PostgreSQL

  • Configure and manage cloud-based messaging queues and streaming platforms (e.g. Kafka IoTHub).

• Performance and Optimization:

  • Optimize backend services for performance scalability and reliability.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot production issues ensuring high availability and uptime.

  • Implement caching strategies and performance tuning techniques.

  • Conduct performance testing and identify bottlenecks.

• Security:

  • Implement security best practices to protect sensitive data and ensure system integrity.

  • Address security vulnerabilities and perform security audits.

  • Implement authentication and authorization.

• Collaboration and Communication:

  • Work closely with other teams creating the cloud ecosystem and product managers to deliver seamless user experiences.

  • Participate in agile development processes including sprint planning daily stand-ups and retrospectives.

  • Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.

  • Document architectural decisions and API specifications.

Basic Requirements

Qualifications:

• Education:

  • Bachelors degree in Computer Science Software Engineering or a related field

• Technical Skills:

  • Proficiency in at least one backend programming language JavaScript TypeScript .

  • Experience with cloud platforms (Azure preferred)

  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs and microservices architecture.

  • Experience with database systems SQL

  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools (Docker Kubernetes).

  • Experience with message queues and streaming platforms.

  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g. GitHub actions Azure devops Jenkins).

  • Hybrid work model: 2 days from the office.

• Soft Skills:

  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced agile environment.

  • A desire to keep up with current technology.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience with specific cloud services and technologies like Nx OAuth 2.0 framework is nice to have

• Knowledge of security best practices and compliance standards.

• Contributions to open-source projects.
