Your Role as an SEN TA

As a Brent SEN TA your responsibilities may include:

  • Encouraging positive behaviour and self-regulation

  • Helping pupils develop social skills confidence and independence

  • Observing and recording pupil progress for SENCOs and teachers

  • Supporting transitions between lessons and activities

  • Assisting with therapy or intervention sessions

  • Supporting pupils with personal care when needed

Your role extends beyond academic supportyou will also act as a stable caring presence helping pupils navigate social situations and build confidence.
