Year 4 Teacher – Vauxhall

We are seeking a motivated enthusiastic and committed Year 4 Teacher to join a welcoming and forward-thinking primary school in Vauxhall starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity for a teacher who is passionate about teaching and learning and who is eager to support pupils as they progress through Lower Key Stage 2.

The successful candidate will take full responsibility for a Year 4 class delivering engaging well-structured lessons that promote academic achievement while supporting pupils personal and social development. The Role

As a Year 4 Teacher you will plan teach and assess lessons across the full primary curriculum ensuring learning is differentiated to meet the needs of all pupils. You will use assessment effectively to track progress identify next steps and provide targeted support where required. Encouraging independence resilience and a positive attitude to learning will be central to your classroom practice.

You will work closely with teaching assistants and phase colleagues to ensure consistency and high standards across Lower Key Stage 2. Building strong relationships with pupils parents and colleagues will be key to success in this role.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan deliver and assess high-quality lessons in line with the Year 4 curriculum

• Use assessment data to monitor progress and inform future planning

• Differentiate learning to support pupils of all abilities including SEND and EAL learners

• Create a safe structured and inclusive classroom environment

• Promote positive behaviour independence and resilience

• Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and colleagues

• Communicate effectively with parents and carers regarding pupil progress

• Participate in staff meetings CPD and whole-school initiatives

The Ideal Candidate

The successful applicant will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)

• Have experience teaching Key Stage 2 ideally in Year 4

• Be confident in curriculum delivery and assessment

• Demonstrate strong classroom management skills

• Be organised reflective and adaptable

• Show a commitment to inclusive practice and safeguarding

• Be a positive and reliable team player
