We are seeking a passionate nurturing and dedicated EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Winchester starting as soon as possible. This is an excellent opportunity to work with children at the very start of their educational journey providing a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
The successful candidate will take full responsibility for an EYFS class delivering high-quality provision in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. The Role
As an EYFS Teacher you will plan deliver and assess engaging and age-appropriate learning experiences that develop childrens skills across all areas of the EYFS. You will create a nurturing stimulating environment that encourages exploration communication and independence. Observation and assessment will be key to planning effective next steps for each child.
You will also work closely with teaching assistants and colleagues to ensure consistency and high-quality provision. Building strong partnerships with parents and carers is essential to support childrens development both in school and at home.
Key Responsibilities
Plan deliver and assess high-quality EYFS provision
Create a safe nurturing and stimulating learning environment
Observe assess and record childrens progress accurately
Use assessment to inform planning and next steps
Support childrens personal social and emotional development
Promote positive behaviour independence and communication skills
Collaborate with teaching assistants and Early Years colleagues
Communicate effectively with parents and carers
Participate in staff meetings training and professional development
The Ideal Candidate
The successful applicant will:
Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Have experience teaching in EYFS or Nursery/Reception
Demonstrate strong knowledge of the EYFS framework
Be nurturing patient and enthusiastic
Possess excellent classroom organisation and behaviour management skills
Be reflective adaptable and committed to continuous improvement
Show a commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Early Career Teachers are welcome and will receive mentoring and support.
