The Opportunity

Wayman Education is currently partnering with one of West Londons leading independent co-educational schools to appoint a brilliant Economics Teacher. The Role

In this role you will be teaching Economics exclusively at Key Stage 5 (A-Level and/or IB Diploma). The department is a hub of intellectual curiosity and you will be expected to push beyond the constraints of the syllabus fostering a deep undergraduate-level understanding of economic theory and global policy.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Advanced Pedagogy: Deliver intellectually stimulating lessons on Micro and Macroeconomics specializing in market structures game theory and international trade.

  • Higher Education Support: Mentor students through the UCAS process providing guidance on personal statements for competitive Economics and PPE courses at Oxbridge and the Ivy League.

  • Academic Enrichment: Lead the schools Economics Society coordinate guest speakers from the City and oversee entries for national essay competitions (e.g. the Royal Economic Society).

  • Small Seminar Teaching: Utilize the schools small class sizes to facilitate high-level debate and critical analysis of current global fiscal and monetary policies.
