Summary:
The Benefits Administrator is responsible for overseeing and administering complex benefits retirement and investment programs including defined contribution defined benefit and executive compensation plans. This role plays a critical part in ensuring compliance operational efficiency and strategic alignment of benefits programs with organizational objectives. The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in retirement plan administration trust management regulatory compliance and executive-level communication with the ability to work independently while collaborating closely with senior leadership and external partners.
What Youll Do:
- Oversee administration of partner-level benefits executive compensation and retirement plans including 401(k) and cash balance plans.
- Manage day-to-day operations of trusts RABi Trusts and retirement plan-related investments including stock and bond assets.
- Coordinate and support the Benefits Committee ensuring activities align with business goals and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with auditors to manage annual Form 5500 filings and audit processes.
- Partner with actuaries and trust departments to ensure accurate reporting and compliance for defined benefit and deferred compensation plans.
- Prepare detailed analysis and reporting on benefits and retirement plan performance trends and risks.
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to develop models reports and presentations for leadership.
- Interface regularly with C-suite executives and senior leadership providing updates and strategic recommendations.
- Monitor regulatory developments and ensure ongoing compliance with benefits and retirement plan requirements.
- Maintain accurate documentation and controls for all benefit and retirement plan activities.
Experience Youll Need:
- Proven experience administering complex benefits and retirement plans including defined contribution (401(k)) and defined benefit (cash balance) plans.
- Strong knowledge of Form 5500 preparation and audit processes.
- Experience managing executive deferred compensation and partner-level benefit programs.
- Background working with actuaries and trust departments; banking or financial services experience preferred.
- Advanced Excel skills including financial analysis and reporting.
- Demonstrated ability to communicate complex benefits topics to senior leadership and C-suite executives.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to align benefits strategy with organizational objectives.
- Experience coordinating Benefits Committees and working with external service providers.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively in a professional services environment.
