The role

Damen Naval is looking for a Senior Engineer Steel Outfitting to strengthen our Structures Plans & Arrangements (SP&A) team within the Engineering this key position you will be coordinating the outsourced detailed engineering scope of steel outfitting which includes stairs ladders and foundations. To ensure our sister company can create models that meet the specifications regulations and stakeholder requirements you need to provide them with all the necessary technical information guide them to the best possible solutions and check the quality of the output. You will collaborate closely with multiple engineering disciplines and will apply both technical expertise and practical considerations such as maintainability ergonomics and manufacturability.

Key accountabilities

In this role your responsibilities will include:

• Independently coordinate the outsourced detailed engineering scope of steel outfitting which includes stairs ladders and foundations ensuring full compliance with all applicable standards client specifications and stakeholder requirements.
• Collaborate with a wide range of engineering disciplines to achieve optimal technical solutions.
• Identify challenges and discuss them with the MultiDisciplinary Team Lead proactively proposing effective solutions.
• Adapt to evolving project needs and remain current with the latest developments in the field.
• Contribute to the ongoing development and professionalisation of the P&A department.

Skills & experience
We are looking for candidates with the following qualifications:

• Secondary vocational education (MBO4) in an engineeringrelated discipline.
• At least 5 years of experience in creating steel outfitting deliverables.
• Passion and experience working with 3D CAD systems such as SolidWorks or 3DExperience (CATIA).
• Strong command of the English language both written and verbal.
• Excellent antecedents as a preemployment security screening is a standard part of the recruitment procedure.
• Permanent multiyear EU citizenship combined with a permanent EU work visa required due to the defencerelated nature of our clients and projects.
