Designation: Process Engineer
Work Location: Hyderabad
Role Summary
The Process Engineer will be responsible for developing supporting and optimizing electronics manufacturing processes with a strong focus on SMT THT soldering cleaning and Parylene conformal coating. This role works closely with Quality Production and Customers to ensure robust processes high yield and compliance with customer and industry requirements.
Key Responsibilities
Support and optimize SMT THT selective soldering wave soldering and cleaning processes.
Ensure pre-coating cleanliness requirements including control of ionic contamination and flux residues.
Collaborate closely with Quality and Production teams to reduce process defects rework and scrap.
Conduct process audits line trials and First Article Inspections (FAI).
Lead yield improvement and defect reduction initiatives using structured problem-solving methodologies.
Develop validate and maintain Parylene coating processes including masking deposition and de-masking.
Define and control coating thickness uniformity adhesion and coverage in line with customer specifications.
Support New Product Introduction (NPI) builds through process definition risk analysis (PFMEA) and trial runs.
Participate in DFM / DFA / DFT reviews related to assembly and coating processes.
Interface with customers for process approvals deviations technical clarifications and audits.
Prepare and present process capability studies validation reports and technical documentation.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelors degree in Engineering (Electronics Mechanical Manufacturing or related field).
Experience in electronics manufacturing with strong knowledge of SMT THT and soldering processes.
Hands-on experience with Parylene conformal coating processes is highly preferred.
Familiarity with IPC standards cleanliness testing and coating quality requirements.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with experience in yield improvement initiatives.
Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with internal teams and customers.
Experience supporting NPI and customer qualification activities is a plus.
