Basic Job Functions:
- Understand and execute departmental policies concerning production inventory quality and training.
- Collaborating cross-departmentally ensuring that workflow and resource allocation is efficient orderly and prioritized to schedule.
- Communicate within the group to ensure solid teamwork and a productive work environment.
- Must be certified in three grade 5 or higher Rollforming areas of operation or obtain certifications within a 6-month period.
- Must be certified on the 7.5T or Dual Hoist Crane and stand-up forklift or be able to obtain certifications within a 6-month period.
- Providing feedback to the Rollforming leadership regarding the performance of all Rollforming teammates.
- Develop the members of the department beyond the basic functions of their role in preparation for broader responsibilities.
- Performing other duties as directed by the Rollforming Supervisor.
- Understand the Rollforming Schedule to maintain completion and load dates meeting customer delivery requests.
- Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US. (Nucor Buildings Group Texas will not sponsor the need for a visa now or in the future.)
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience or cross training of NBG Rollforming operations and equipment.
- Certified Crane Operator
Must have supervisor and/or manager recommendation and must be able to perform all essential functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
