Description

We are hiring for our client a well-established engineering business based in Belfast as they continue to grow their specialist Water division. This newly created Contracts Manager role will take full ownership of water-related projects overseeing delivery performance commercial control and client relationships across NI and ROI.

The Contracts Manager will play a pivotal leadership role working closely with senior stakeholders while managing multidisciplinary teams delivering critical water and wastewater infrastructure projects. This is a highly visible position offering long-term progression within a stable and growing organisation.

The Contracts Manager job will suit someone with strong water-sector experience who enjoys autonomy responsibility and shaping how projects are delivered.

The Role

Lead and manage all water-sector contracts from award through to completion
Take ownership of commercial performance budgets forecasts and reporting
Build and maintain strong relationships with clients consultants and subcontractors
Ensure projects are delivered safely on time and to specification
Oversee project managers and site teams providing leadership and direction
Support tendering pricing and bid strategy for new water projects
Drive continuous improvement across processes and project delivery

The Person

Proven experience in a Contracts Manager role within the water or utilities sector
Strong understanding of NEC / standard forms of contract
Commercially astute with strong financial and contractual awareness
Confident leader with experience managing teams and stakeholders
Excellent communication negotiation and decision-making skills
Background in electrical mechanical or ICA projects is highly desirable
