The Mechanical/Electromechanical Global Supply Manager (GSM) will support Spectacles product lines for Mechanicals like plastics metals silicon rubber components and sub-assembly parts electro mechanicals like battery and speakers. At Snap as a GSM you will get to own the commercial relationships with your partners as well as influence commodity strategy and direction with internal stakeholders like product and industrial design. GSMs at Snap are responsible for commodity strategy supplier selection cost negotiations continuity of supply risk mitigation as well as supporting overall project needs and timelines.

Mechanical components are critical to the industrial design as well as function of Snaps products and GSMs work closely with operations supplier quality as well as Snaps product and industrial design teams. Were looking for a Mechanical/Electromechanical Global Supply Manager (GSM) to join the Spectacles team at Snap Inc!

What youll do:

• Develop and execute strategies for hardware and maintain strategic suppliers relationships identify/implement cost saving opportunities ensure the supply base and industry leading quality.

• Act as the key interface between internal Engineering Operations Material and other cross functional teams and external commodity suppliers contractor manufacturers to ensure procurement initiatives and support business objectives.

• Collaborate with cross functional teams to identify opportunities and risks related to product design and business plans.

• Ensure supply assurance driving necessary and timely action for potential supply issues strong alignment with material manager for accurate CTB.
  

Minimum Qualifications:

• Engineering or technical degree

• Great English communication skills

• Sourcing managements min 4 years of experience

• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility to adapt to dynamic and at times ambiguous environments.

• 5-10 years of experience in supply chain development sourcing management or manufacturing operations.

• Good communication skills and ability to work in multilingual as well as multicultural environments with partners.

• Previous experience in the following areas is preferred; Plastic and silicon injection molding Metal stamping and CNC Metal injection molding Batteries Speakers optical components.

• Periodical travel to suppliers domestic and international manufacturing sites approximately 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Mechanical / electrical / Optical/ industrial or similar engineering

• 5 Years of sourcing experience in Tech company : Apple Amazon DJI Google etc and/or worked at top tier suppliers: Foxconn LY Tech ICT-Luxshare Lens

• Ability to work and influence across teams and manage timelines.

• Being able to balance strategic and tactical responsibilities.

• Passion for Problem solving and driving resolution.
