About this Unit

Shifts for this position are 4:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. CT technologist will perform X-ray one weekend a month 3:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. We offer a paid cross-training opportunity for those interested in transitioning from X-ray to CT!

Scope of work

Provides healthcare services applying cross-sectional computed tomography (CT) imaging and all related duties to assist diagnosis or treatment. Performs CT procedures computer processing and related techniques producing images for the interpretation by; or at the request of a licensed practitioner. Provides appropriate patient care and recognized patient conditions essential for successful completion of the procedure. Acts as a role model for comprehensive care addressing the physiological and socio-cultural needs of patients and their families and acts as a resource to other radiology employees in managing complex issues. Assures equipment is present and accounted for at the beginning and end of each shift.

Qualifications

• Required High School Diploma or equivalent

• Required Associates Degree Graduate from accredited Radiography program.

• Healthcare Preferred

• CRT-Radiologic Technologist Registration - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Must remain in good standing with ARRT Upon Hire required Or

• CRT-Nuclear Medicine Technologist - NMTCB Nuclear Medicine Technology Certification Board Must remain in good standing with the NMTCB Upon Hire required Or

• CRT-Nuc Med Technologist (N) - ARRT American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Must remain in good standing with the ARRT (N) Upon Hire required And

• AHA OR ARC Basic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire
