We are looking for a Mechanical Plumbing Engineer or Designer with a minimum of 7 years of experience who wants to work and grow as a team player within our progressive multi-discipline firm. Ideal applicants will be well versed in all aspects of plumbing design and/or engineering. The desired individual should be comfortable consulting to owners and general contractors and have a desire to work as part of a multi-discipline engineering team.
The mission of this role is to fill a key place in our plumbing design team focused on significant large scale mid-rise and high-rise residential projects. Experience in healthcare education data centers and other target markets is also ideal. This Designer will serve as a technical leader bringing expertise in complex project design and execution while mentoring the team for long-term growth. They will help us execute increasingly diverse and sophisticated projects while maintaining high standards of quality compliance and innovation.
Compensation and Benefits:
- Approximate Base Salary 110k-150k based on experience
- Paid overtime at 1.0 times hourly rate
- Competitive end of year discretionary bonus based on company/team/personal performance
- Hybrid Work Schedule (subject to change)
- 401k with maximum of 5% Contribution Matching for 9% Employee Contribution

Qualifications :
Qualifications
- Minimum of 7 years of experience designing plumbing systems for multi-family residential or commercial buildings. Los Angeles or California experience (preferred)
- B.A. or B.S. from an accredited college in related field (preferred).
- Certified in Plumbing Design (CPD) or equivalent (preferred)
- California EIT or PE Registration (preferred)
- Familiarity with relevant codes: mechanical energy plumbing
- High proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit is required.
Knowledge Skills & Abilities
- Capable of performing engineering and/or design work without supervision.
- Experienced with the latest release of Revit AutoCAD BIM 360 and other CAD and BIM tools common to the discipline.
- Works from detailed sketches to produce computer-generated graphs charts overlays and simple isometric drawings.
- Capable of designing domestic water calculations and multi-system riser diagrams.
- Analyze sketches notes and other input material to determine the best approach for the completion of drawings.
- Able to design layouts details and overall system design for typical discipline-specific systems.
- Able to perform field observations and reports
- Able to work with numerous project teams to assist with project completion.
- Knowledge of codes and design and construction practices.
- Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
- Detail oriented possess a high degree of accuracy.
- Able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Excellent verbal written and interpersonal communication skills.
- Positive contributor to overall office and department goals culture and morale.
- Performs other duties as may be assigned.
