Fire Protection Engineer (3-5 years)

Coffman Engineers Tampa office is seeking a Fire Protection Engineer with three to five years of experience who is passionate about their craft wants to work on a high-functioning team and looking for an environment that promotes professional growth. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic have a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team and be willing to have fun. 

You would be providing our clients with hazardous material fire protection combustible dust hazard analysis process safety analysis as well as general fire protection and life safety concepts and research.

Qualifications :

Qualifications Include:

• BS degree in engineering or related science from accredited university
• Chemical Engineering degree desired
• Minimum of three years of professional experience.
• Experience with the current version of AutoCAD and Revit (preferred)
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Required Duties and Skills:

• Design and specify basic systems without continuous oversight.
• Interest and ability to advance to a senior engineer or project manager position.
• Possess basic level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email word processing spreadsheets graphics and a working knowledge of computeraided drafting and Revit (fire dynamic simulation for fire protection engineers).
• Performs other duties as may be assigned.
• Perform consulting services for internal clients utilizing Fire Protection engineering concepts.
