The Position

This internship position sits within the Global Device Packaging & Distribution Manufacturing Science & Technology (MSAT) department within Pharma Technical (PTT).
The global Packaging Development team is responsible for designing and qualifying primary and secondary packaging systems for Roche global pipeline molecules from Phase 1 clinical trials to commercial launch including solid dosage forms injectables and combination products. The team is also responsible for driving global packaging initiatives such as platform packaging designs aligning global packaging network best practices and identifying new packaging technologies.

The Opportunity:

  • You are supporting a wide range of engineering disciplines from initial product definition to commercialization and product care while considering regulatory ecological and technical aspects.

  • You are contributing to challenging and highly relevant projects that have a direct impact on a global enterprise environment.

Who you Are:

  • You are currently enrolled in a university (Bachelor Master) OR the completion of the Masters degree must not be more than 12 months ago before the start date. Your studies are ideally in the field of Materials Science Mechanical Engineering Chemical or Process Engineering Biotechnology Medical Device Engineering Pharmaceutical Technology Packaging Engineering Industrial Design or related field.

  • You are knowledgeable in packaging and/or medical device materials processes and equipment.

  • You are capable of authoring high-quality technical documentation.

  • You are an innovative spirit who applies design thinking with a focus on the end-user.

  • You are experienced in applying the life cycle assessment (LCA) methodology for product development.

  • You are equipped with excellent verbal and written communication collaboration organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • You are skilled in project management and have experience in cross-functional projects (this is a plus).

  • You are keen to learn new skills and willing to take the initiative to identify and drive improvement opportunities.

  • You are proficient in English with knowledge of German considered an asset.
