Position Summary
The NationalBeverage Director is a senior leadership role responsible for the strategicdirection execution and performance of City Winerys beverage programs acrossall national locations including City Winery Core locations (Hudson ValleyChicago Boston Atlanta Nashville) and Pier 57 restaurants.
Thisrole oversees beverage service standards inventory systems ordering vendorpartnerships winery relations wine education in partnership with our teamand menu development. The National Beverage Director ensures best-in-classguest experience operational excellence financial performance and brandconsistency across all beverage programs spanning wine spirits beer andnon-alcoholic offerings.
Thisleader partners closely with Operations Culinary Winery Programming andFinance to drive revenue elevate service culture and strengthen City Winerysposition as a premier food wine and entertainment destination.

Set national beveragestrategy aligned with brand revenue goals and guest experience standards
Serve as the senior subjectmatter expert for all beverage programs
Beverage Service & Standards
Own all beverage servicestandards across locations including:
Steps of Service (SOS)
Beverage execution
Bar setup and organization
Service audits and qualitycontrol
Develop implement andmaintain SOPs for all beverage programs
Conduct regular market andlocation audits to ensure brand consistency and service excellence
Partner with Operationsleadership on training accountability and performance management
Ordering Inventory& Financial Performance
Lead all national beverageordering and inventory systems
Own Beverage Inventory in Full(BIF) execution across all locations
Set pars forecasting models andrevenue-aligned purchasing strategies
Oversee invoice managementreconciliation and vendor billing
Drive cost controls beveragemargins and inventory accuracy
Partner with Finance onforecasting vs. actuals variance analysis and budgeting
Vendor & WineryRelations
Lead all national beverage vendorpartnerships
Negotiate pricing contractsallocations and national programs
Manage City Winery relationshipsand portfolio strategy
Collaborate on winery releasesfeatured programs and reserve selections

Partner with Programming& Marketing on wine dinners tastings classes and special events

Lead beverage menudevelopment across:

Develop seasonal regionaland reserve beverage programs

Build mentor and lead thenational beverage leadership team
Develop succession planningand career pathways for beverage leaders
Establish a high-performanceservice culture rooted in hospitality education and accountability
Minimum Qualifications
10 years of progressivebeverage leadership experience in high-volume multi-unit hospitality
Proven national or regionalbeverage leadership experience
Advanced wine education (CMSWSET or equivalent strongly preferred)
Deep expertise in inventorysystems forecasting cost control and financial management
Proven experience leadingbeverage menu development across multiple concepts
Strong vendor negotiation andportfolio management experience
Exceptional leadershiptraining and team development skills
Passion for winehospitality and guest experience
Ability to travel nationallyas required
