We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Capital Equipment Sales Engineer to drive sales of heavy mechanical equipment into the mining sector. This role suits a technically strong commercially sharp professional who enjoys building long-term relationships with mine owners operators and EPCs.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and manage sales opportunities for capital mechanical equipment within the mining industry
- Identify and engage with new and existing mining customers
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals tenders and presentations
- Conduct site visits client meetings and equipment demonstrations
- Work closely with engineering service and project teams to deliver solutions
- Achieve sales targets while maintaining strong customer relationships
- Monitor market trends competitor activity and project pipelines
Requirements
- Degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering (or similar technical qualification)
- Proven sales experience with capital equipment sold into mining operations
- Strong technical understanding of mechanical systems and heavy equipment
- Ability to engage confidently with engineers mine management and procurement teams
- Excellent communication negotiation and presentation skills
- Willingness to travel to mine sites as required
- Valid drivers licence
