• EY Technology supports our technology needs through three business units:

• Information Security (Info Sec) - Info Sec prevents detects responds and mitigates cyber-risk protecting EY and client data and our information management systems.

The opportunity

This role provides intermediate-level system analysis design development and implementation of applications and databases and supports backend performance optimization data integration documentation and secure development practices.

Your key responsibilities

• Provides intermediate level system analysis design development and implementation of applications and databases. Integrates third party products.
• Translates technical specifications into code for moderately complex new or enhancement projects for internal clients. Writes programs develops code tests artifacts and produces reports. Employs software development techniques to ensure tests are implemented in a way that support automation.
• Elevates code into the development test and production environments on schedule. Provides follow up production support. Submits change control requests and documents.
• Follows software development methodology. Follows development architecture standards.
• Participates in design code and test inspections throughout the life cycle to identify issues. Participates in systems analysis activities.
• Understands client business functions and technology needs. Understands s tools technologies and applications/databases including those that interface with business area and systems.
• Learns and complies with Information Technology and Information Security policies and procedures.
• Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
• Contribute to optimizing system performance through efficient database design and code enhancements to support scalability.
• Support the integration and maintenance of data pipelines between APIs and backend systems ensuring data accuracy and integrity.
• Maintain and update software documentation for backend components highlighting logic processes and architecture.
• Apply intermediate knowledge of backend system security and data protection best practices during development.

Skills and attributes for success

• Must have skills: Java Spring Boot Angular Node JS AWS SQL queries Github Bitbucket Bamboo CI/CD TDD/BDD
• Optional skill : Python
• Proficiency in Agile Confluence JIRA.
• Aptitude for continuous process improvement for process flows/workflows.
• A team player with strong analytical communication and interpersonal skills
• Constantly updating yourself about new technologies in the market
• A winning personality and the ability to become a trusted advisor to the stakeholders

To qualify for the role you must have

• Minimum 3 years of experience in application development system analysis or database management.
• Bachelors degree (B.E./) in Computer Science or IT or Bachelors in Computer Applications (BCA).
• Experience with database design SQL and data optimization techniques for high-performance applications.
• Familiarity with API development integration and third-party software integration.
• Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end developers

Ideally youll also have

• Strong verbal and written communication facilitation relationship-building presentation and negotiation skills.
• Be highly flexible adaptable and creative.
• Comfortable interacting with senior executives (within the firm and at the client)
