General Purpose of Role:

Supervises accounting staff in the day-to-day operations of one or more accounting functions including accounts payable accounts receivable ledger maintenance revenue and asset accounting as well as associated analysis and reporting. Oversees calculating posting and verifying financial data to maintain accounting and statistical records. Maintains the integrity of accounting records by ensuring that staff complies with organization accounting policies and procedures.

This role spans many types of activities working with cross-functional teams from operational to tactical. this includes bridging the gap between the customer expectations and operations delivery.

Responsibilities

  • Identify & understand the open/reconciling items in Blackline reconciliations
  • Investigate and follow up for resolution.
  • Liaison with Accounts Receivable Accounts Payable Accounting & reporting team Location Finance Customer service group Vendors Controllership Tax team and Other departments.
  • Ensure accurate accounting records for receipts disbursements and other accounting transactions.
  • Apply Accepted Procedures to the preparation and maintenance of accounting and other records.
  • Ensure completeness of month-end activities.
  • Strong organizing and workflow management skills which include establishing priorities and following up on unresolved matters.
  • Work with the Delivery Center management on ongoing improvements.
  • Maintain regular and effective communication with Locations following approved governance /interaction models. This communication will include proactive identification of issues ensuring support for future strategies identification of key business changes affecting the tower and updates on performance.
  • Ensure SOPs are updated.

Vendor management

  • Manage service quality of engaged vendors to achieve agreed performance level and optimal cost utilization.
  • Work with vendors both internally and/or externally to overcome constraints and strategies to deliver the products to the customers as promised effectively.
  • Partner with third party service provider business stakeholders controls IT and other support functions to provide seamless service delivery and innovative projects
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities across the R2R/Reconciliation cycle.

Stakeholder Management

  • Manage escalations from business stakeholders with the primary objective of achieving overall WES-wide operational KPI by coordinating with internal and external (vendor) teams on their service delivery quality and resolution.
  • Provides quality customer service and collaborates with all streams in the SSC.

What you will bring

  • Career experience in a finance shared services organization of 5-7 years with strong process knowledge in R2R Reconciliations SLA reporting & service level quality monitoring.
  • CPA or equivalent qualifications in Finance.
  • Experienced in communicating complex issues and data concepts to people liaising with operations improving technical expertise regarding products offered and synthesizing data are essential.
  • Sound knowledge of system tools specifically Oracle SAP Hyperion Blackline ServiceNow MS Excel
