Job Summary
We are working with an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school in Brent recruiting for a Biology ECT. The school is a designated Science Hub offering a world-class induction for early career teachers within a high-tech laboratory setting.
The Role You will teach Biology across KS3 and KS4 with the potential to support A-Level Biology practicals. The role is designed around the Early Career Framework utilizing evidence-based practices such as cognitive load theory and retrieval practice. Key responsibilities include:
Planning and delivering inquiry-based Science lessons in specialist labs
Working with a dedicated Mentor to observe and refine classroom management
Using diagnostic assessment tools to track and accelerate student progress
Leading STEM-related extracurricular projects and Science fairs
Participating in weekly Expert-Led pedagogy seminars
