Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Assistant Project Manager to support the commercial and operational delivery of office fit-out projects. The primary focus of this role is generating quotations cost management and account reconciliation with additional responsibilities supporting site management and project delivery. Reporting directly to the CEO this position plays a key role in ensuring financial accuracy cost control and smooth execution of projects.
Key Responsibilities
Quoting & Cost Management (Primary Focus)
Prepare accurate project quotations estimates and pricing for office fit-out works
Track project costs budgets and expenditure against approved forecasts
Manage cost variations and support margin control
Maintain accurate cost reports for management review
Accounts & Reconciliation
Reconcile project costs supplier invoices and subcontractor claims
Assist with progress claims invoicing and financial reporting
Ensure all project financial records are accurate and up to date
Supplier & Subcontractor Coordination
Requirements
Diploma or Bachelors in Construction Management Project Management Quantity Surveying or a related field (required)
12 years experience in construction office fit-outs or a similar commercial/project support role
Strong understanding of construction costing and estimating
Key Competencies
Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy
Strong Excel spreadsheet and data management skills
Commercially focused with strong cost-control mindset
Organised analytical and process-driven
Clear communication and ability to work closely with senior management
Interpret architectural drawings (plans sections elevations)
Basic understanding of construction elements and terminology
Required Skills:
Exceptional attention to detail and numerical accuracy Strong Excel spreadsheet and data management skills Commercially focused with strong cost-control mindset Organised analytical and process-driven Clear communication and ability to work closely with senior management Interpret architectural drawings (plans sections elevations) Basic understanding of construction elements and terminology
