The Fiscal Services Manager reports directly to the Clerk of Superior Court. This role presents a unique opportunity to shape the financial and fiscal direction and integrity of the Clerks addition the Fiscal Services Manager will play a central role in the design execution and implementation of a new financial case management system being developed specifically to meet the operational and reporting needs of the Clerks Office. This is a rare opportunity to help build and launch a system from the ground upmodernizing financial workflows strengthening data integrity and enhancing service delivery for years to come. As a seasoned finance professional with deep expertise in accounting principles and practices you will serve as a key member of the management team influencing the financial operations oversight and policy development. This role manages and supervises the finance team of the Clerks Office.
Some of your responsibilities include preparing and managing the departments budget court fees and legal financial obligations; managing the trust and bank accounts and financial systems; and implementing proper segregation of duties and cash-handling procedures. You will process and manage unclaimed property stay informed about legislative and court-related changes affecting division and department operations and implement necessary processes and solutions to ensure compliance with laws policies court rules and orders. Leading the internal and external audits for the department is crucial for this role. You will ensure disciplined stewardship unwavering accountability and exceptional governance across the entire organization.
This role also has a key fiscal and finance oversight of the Pierce County Law Library and other entities under the Clerks Office.
