Elementary Reading Instructional Coach
Summary of the Instructional Coach Position
The instructional coach will model SFS Core Values and contribute to the improvement of student achievement by building teacher capacity through the development of content knowledge and research-based practice. As part of this the instructional coach will work with individual teachers to analyze data-based student needs and current teacher practice to set performance and development goals. Common coaching activities will include modeling co-planning co-teaching observation/feedback and conferencing with teachers. The instructional coach may facilitate content teams and assist the site leader in providing professional development to addition the instructional coach may work in collaboration with the districts academic team to develop curriculum and common assessments.

*Instructional coaches should spend 80-90% of their time on instruction. APs should spend at least 75% on instruction with 5% of their time supporting Site Leader with site needs (duties IEP meetings etc.
