WHAT PRINCIPALS SUPPORT
Alliance Principals receive substantial professional development to continue to hone their craft including monthly full-day professional development sessions semi-annual network-wide leadership retreats and ongoing coaching from Instructional Superintendents. Principals receive robust support from the Alliance Home Office to enable their leadership including support in selecting and implementing research-based rigorous curriculum and utilizing assessment data to drive instruction as well as back-office support (e.g. finance operations HR IT facilities).

Instructional Visionary and Talent Leadership
Drive instructional excellence by setting aspirational school goals and ensuring that teachers receive appropriate targeted coaching and professional development to meet goals.
Prepare all scholars to apply to enroll in attend and succeed in college by implementing a college-ready curriculum and supporting instructional activities and by using multiple data points and ongoing data analysis to continually revise and improve the schools instructional program.
Supervise coach develop and evaluate Assistant Principals in their work coaching and developing teachers via regular observations feedback and coaching as part of Alliances rigorous teacher development and support system.
Demonstrates a strong commitment and capability to thrive in a fast-paced results-oriented environment in alignment with our networks strategic direction.
Demonstrates the ability to assess and respond to the data and dynamics of a school environment and adapt as needed.

Create a culture of high expectations with a relentless focus on student achievement college and career readiness operational efficiency and self-improvement.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATES WILL HAVE

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree or higher from an accredited college or university;
A graduate degree from an accredited college or university is preferred;
A valid California teaching credential is preferred;
Three or more successful years of experience as a teacher counselor or similar school-based role;
Two or more successful years of experience as an Assistant Principal or similar school leadership experience.

Professional Development: At Alliance we believe in supporting principal growth and providing substantial individual coaching as well as network-wide professional development support for principals including a leadership retreat in summer and winter monthly full-day professional development sessions with the principal cohort and regular coaching from an Instructional Superintendent.
Leadership Opportunities: Leadership opportunities are extensive at Alliance both in and outside of the classroom. Our close-knit school communities look to teachers to support scholar extracurricular activities and lead school-level decision-making.
