Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented Electronic Medical Records (EMR) Specialist to support the implementation maintenance optimization and daily operation of electronic medical record systems in a fully remote environment. The successful candidate will work closely with clinical administrative and IT stakeholders to ensure accurate data management system usability and compliance with healthcare regulations.

This position is strictly limited to candidates who currently reside in the United States and are legally authorized to work in the U.S. Applications from individuals residing outside the United States will not be considered.


Key Responsibilities:

Maintain configure and support EMR/EHR systems to ensure data accuracy and system reliability

Provide technical and functional support to clinical and administrative users

Assist with EMR implementation upgrades and system enhancements

Ensure compliance with HIPAA HITECH and other applicable healthcare regulations

Monitor system performance and troubleshoot EMR-related issues

Support data quality initiatives audits and reporting requirements

Develop and maintain EMR documentation workflows and training materials

Collaborate with vendors IT teams and healthcare staff to optimize system functionality


Required Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Health Information Management Health Informatics Information Technology or a related field (or equivalent experience)

Minimum of 36 years of experience working with EMR/EHR systems

Hands-on experience with leading EMR platforms (e.g. Epic Cerner Meditech Allscripts Athenahealth)

Strong understanding of clinical workflows and healthcare data standards

Excellent analytical troubleshooting and communication skills

Ability to work independently and effectively in a remote environment


Preferred Qualifications:

Professional certifications (RHIT RHIA Epic Certification or equivalent)

Experience supporting multi-site healthcare organizations

Familiarity with data reporting interoperability and HL7/FHIR standards


Compensation:

Annual Salary Range: $75000 $105000 USD commensurate with experience certifications and geographic location
