Job Description
Peterson Cat has the immediate need for a Utility Worker at our Chico CA location.
SUMMARY
The Utility Person is responsible for assisting the parts departments by stocking and/or pulling inventory. Will also be responsible delivering parts to customers job sites; as well as maintaining parts departments housekeeping.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

- Assist the parts departments with stocking and pulling inventory.
- Assist in loading and unloading trucks.
- Deliver parts to customers job sites collect necessary documentation and payment.
- Perform miscellaneous clean-up of the parts department and maintain contamination control standards.
- Must be able to perform general labor duties as required.
- Follow all safety procedures.
- Take care of environmental concerns.
- Operate forklift to operate essential functions of the job.
OTHER JOB FUNCTIONS
- Maintains punctual regular and predictable attendance.
- Works collaboratively in a team environment with a spirit of cooperation.
- Displays excellent communication skills including presentation persuasion and negotiation skills required in working with customers/ coworkers including the ability to communicate effectively and remain calm and courteous under pressure.
- Respectfully takes direction from supervisor/ manager.
QUALIFICATIONS
To perform this job successfully an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge skill and/or ability required. - Must be able to operate a forklift.
- Strong customer service organizational and multi-tasking abilities are a plus.
EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); and one year of experience in heavy duty parts department warehouse or equivalent combination of education and experience.
The pay rate for this position is: $21.55. We also offer a total compensation package in addition to base salary.
