Job Summary
Amazon is looking for a talented attorney to support our online store business. You will work directly with your business partners serving as their primary legal advisor on a broad range and variety of matters.
Responsibilities include:
- Providing day-to-day legal support to business teams and developing strategies for handling legal issues in creative efficient and business-centric ways.
- Helping your business teams launch new features and product categories.
- Serving as lead counsel in drafting and negotiating commercial agreements.
- Resolving issues arising in existing commercial relationships and handling pre-litigation legal disputes and inquiries.
- 5 years of legal experience
- Juris Doctor and membership in one state bar or equivalent
- Experience of a mix of corporate law firm and in-house work
- Knowledge of the ethical considerations surrounding AI in the legal context such as confidentiality accuracy and bias prevention
- Experience managing multiple projects and priorities across teams in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills attention to detail and effective communication abilities
- Experience in transactional work including drafting and negotiating commercial contracts or equivalent
- Experience working cross functionally across several teams
- Experience partnering with business leaders in highly complex and dynamic business settings

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $138500/year in our lowest geographic market up to $229000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
