Pay Rate:
Local Rate: $90 $98/hour ($3637.50/week)
Travel Rate: $3960/week
Position Overview
A behavioral health facility in Brooklyn NY is seeking a Director of Nursing (DON) / Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to lead and oversee the nursing department. This role is ideal for a highly experienced nursing professional with a strong background in behavioral health and supervisory experience. The successful candidate will provide clinical leadership support staff development and ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Licensure & Certifications
Active New York State RN license (single state; compact licenses not accepted)
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required
Required Clinical Skills & Experience
Minimum 7 years of nursing experience with at least 5 years in a supervisory or leadership role
Minimum 2 years of experience in behavioral health nursing
Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance patient safety and quality improvement in a behavioral health setting
Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams mentor staff and manage daily operations
Excellent communication organizational and critical thinking skills
Key Responsibilities
Provide leadership direction and oversight to nursing staff
Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations policies and procedures
Monitor quality of care and implement improvement initiatives
Support professional development and performance management of staff
Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
Assist in staffing scheduling and operational decision-making
Serve as a resource for clinical guidance and problem-solving
