Position Overview

A large accredited ospital in Florida is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) Open Heart / CVOR to join its Cardiovascular Operating Room team. This role supports complex open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures in a high-acuity fast-paced environment.

Shift Details

Shift: Days
Hours: 7:00 AM 7:00 PM

On-Call Requirements:

One on-call shift per week
One on-call weekend per month
Additional call may be required based on departmental needs

Responsibilities

Provide direct perioperative nursing care for open-heart and cardiovascular surgical procedures
Prepare and maintain the sterile field in the CVOR
Assist surgeons and anesthesia providers throughout procedures
Monitor patient status and respond rapidly to changes in condition
Ensure compliance with surgical safety protocols and infection control standards
Accurately document perioperative care in the electronic medical record
Collaborate with cardiovascular surgeons perfusionists anesthesia and OR team members
Participate in on-call coverage as required

Required Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of Open Heart (CVOR) RN experience in an acute care setting required
Active Florida RN license or compact RN license (must obtain Florida license within 60 days if relocating)
BSN preferred
BLS ACLS and PALS (AHA Healthcare Provider) required
CNOR certification preferred
